JOB DESCRIPTION
• QA project team leadership, including leading multiple client projects simultaneously and motivating teams to delivery at a high quality or leading large projects with several QAs
• Creating and reviewing the QA plans and QA project strategy along with Project Managers and effectively and persuasively communicating them to clients and internal teams
• Working with clients and project leadership to develop project acceptance criteria and test plans, based on business requirements
• Foster collaboration with front-end developers, back-end developers, business analyst, project managers and QA Engineers in achieving the desired quality in the developed products.
• Reviewing test plans, staffing, estimates and resource allocation to ensure project success in terms of both quality and budget
• Create and maintain comprehensive testing metrics and reporting to reflect progress against the overall strategy as well as the success of individual projects
• Leading the project team to create both functional and non-functional tests (performance, security, integration, etc.)
• Providing projects leadership for test automation and performance testing approach
• Create and execute manual and automated tests
• Creating reasonable level of effort estimates that balance business and technical needs
• Managing defect tracking and defect maintenance and performing defect root cause analysis
• Contribute to sales process by creating input to RFI, RFP materials and participate to pitches for new projects to help position the QA function, as appropriate and to estimate time and cost to perform QA activities for projects
• Participates to interviews and is actively involved in the hiring process
• Actively participate to Onboarding Process and help new members integrate in the QA and project team. With HR help create and deliver 3 months trail feedback.
• Defines QA career path and supports career development of QA team members through coaching, mentoring and by providing constant feedback
• Create and deliver Annual Performance reviews to more junior QA members
• Developing internal training plans, materials and deliver workshops on QA Activities
• Educating and mentoring other team members on testing practices and tools
• Participate to employee morale initiatives
JOB QUALIFICATION
• More than 6 years of testing experience for web and e-commerce applications and 1+ years in leading QA teams
• Experience in testing at least one of the following platforms: Commerce Cloud /Demandware, SAP Commerce Cloud/Hybris, Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal)
• Deep knowledge of quality assurance best practices, processes, tools and standards
• Passionate about technologies, hungry for learning the latest trends in QA methodologies and tools
• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, component assembly and package implementation
• Successful experience collaborating and working with designers, front-end developers and architects to achieve the best balance between quality and user needs, enterprise requirements, technology constraints
• A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and multiple relevant technologies (Java, Python, PHP, MySQL, Oracle or similar)
• Basic CSS, HTML and Java script knowledge
• The confidence to ask the tough questions necessary to ensure continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate the needs of the QA team on specific project
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Ability to manage internal and external resources, including staff in remote locations to execute testing objectives; deliver training as necessary
• Experience selecting and using automated testing tools and frameworks
• Hands on experience in writing and running automated test in complex and customized frameworks like Behat, Cucumber
• Experience participating in the sales process to help position the QA function, as appropriate and to estimate time and cost to perform QA activities for projects
• Experience testing websites or web applications in multiple browsers and mobile devices
• Experience in educating and mentoring junior and senior QA Roles
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to face pace software development project
• Must be fluent in English, written and verbal communications
