JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provides support and offers guidance and advice across the power plant overall process and supporting the development of technical expertise in this technical area within the business unit.
- Offers advice and guidance on the key issues of process safety and its implementation across the power plants within the business unit
- Advises critical parameters to be monitored and tracked to ensure all critical assets are well maintained.
- Conducts periodic audits of the process plant systems maintenance approach and philosophy.
- Reviews the maintenance strategies defined through the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process that provide the maintenance activities that need to be undertaken on process plant systems and equipment in the plant.
- Develops and implements robust technical directives and guidance documentation for process plant systems to help secure the integrity of the power plant assets.
- Has full understanding of the power generation processes and is able to propose solutions and support resolution of difficult site issues whilst ensuring best practices as well. The process engineering will include:
- Develops, configures, and optimizes industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
- Assesses processes, take measurements, and interpret data
- Designs, runs, tests and upgrades systems and processes
- Develops best practices, routines, and innovative solutions
- Performs process simulations
- Manages cost and time constraints
- Performs risk assessments
- Provides process documentation and operating instructions
- Plant Asset Management
- Significantly contributes to overall efforts in enhancing asset management practices across multi-sites for long term integrity and cost optimization.
- Develops lifecycle management plans for the process plant systems assets considering replacement, refurbishment, modifications and obsolescence that will be required during the planned life of the assets.
- Develops an Asset health and Performance framework for process plant systems consisting of Plant Health Monitoring tools and dashboards.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Professional: At least 10 years of power plant and process engineering experience
- Leadership Experience: As discipline leader in this field with proven experience
- Project Experience: Process engineering, process systems
- Education: Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
