JOB DESCRIPTION
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the trucking department.
- Customer Relations: Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally..
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including freight brokers and maintenance providers, to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
- Develop and execute strategic plans: This includes analyzing market trends, identifying new opportunities, setting goals and objectives, and developing actionable strategies to achieve them.
- Manage financial performance: Oversee the business unit’s budget, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for cost savings, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Manage day-to-day operations: Ensure smooth and efficient operations across various functions within the unit, which may include sales, marketing, production, customer service, or a combination depending on the industry.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in trucking operations management.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing efficient trucking strategies
