JOB DESCRIPTION
The position is responsible for being the center of knowledge for all matters boiler (and auxiliaries) in support of operations and maintenance for the combined power plant assets. This position plays a key role in planning, designing, and implementing the asset management plans and policies relating to the boiler (and auxiliaries) systems. The post holder will provide expert boiler (and auxiliaries) knowledge for day to day matters outside the capability of the site teams and during inspections, overhauls, plant failure situations and in optimizing the approach for the full range of maintenance philosophies at the plant sites. The post-holder will be expected to significantly contribute to resolution of technical issues inhibiting flexible plant performance and in proposing plant improvement options.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- At least 10 years of Boiler (& Auxiliary) ideally with specialism in CFB technology
- Leadership Experience: As discipline leader in field Project Experience: Boiler (& Auxiliary) Plant improvement desirable
- Education bachelor’s degree in mechanical or equivalent experience
- CFB Boilers(Conventional Boiler knowledge an advantage) ● Support Structures – external/internal ● Pressure Systems Requirements/Regulations ● Pipework and support structure including constant load supports ● Tube and support structures ● Waterside aspects ● Fireside aspects ● Headers and Tanks ● Pressure Relief Systems and Trevis Testing ● Fan Systems ● Ducting Systems ● Burner Systems ● Gas/Air Heaters
