JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to standardize inventory management processes across multiple business units or departments.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure inventory accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with business unit leaders and department heads to understand inventory management needs and requirements.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, locations, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and generate reports.
- Provide training and support to business unit staff on inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to optimize inventory management processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of inventory items.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in inventory management.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, as well as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheet for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business units.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- The ability to plan and set up new warehouse projects is an advantage.
