JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversee daily power plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.
- Manage shift schedules, manpower allocation, and work assignments to maintain continuous plant operations.
- Lead and supervise Shift Supervisors and operational teams, ensuring effective coordination and compliance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Control Room, and other plant departments to address operational requirements and equipment-related concerns.
- Oversee operational readiness and manpower requirements during plant shutdowns, outages, and emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, operational procedures, and environmental regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with an active PRC license.
- At least 10 years of experience in power plant operations, preferably with at least 5 years in coal-fired power plants.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in power plant operations.
- Strong experience in shift scheduling, manpower planning, and management of plant operations teams.
- Solid knowledge of power plant safety procedures, including Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with plant control and monitoring systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
- Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
