JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the development and execution of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to drive growth and profitability.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial models to assess opportunities, risks, and long-term financial health.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company’s long-term strategic direction.
- Assess and evaluate new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives from a financial and strategic perspective.
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Manage relationships with auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.
- Develop and execute tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Manage corporate tax planning, filings, and audits, in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
- Stay updated on global and local tax regulations and ensure proactive tax management.
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reconciliations.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of the company’s financial records and reporting systems.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive the adoption of financial technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company’s financial health and ability to meet obligations.
- Oversee capital allocation, financing, and investment decisions to support the company’s growth initiatives.
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is highly preferred.
- At least 15-20 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a fintech, technology, or financial services company.
- Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), controllership, tax strategy, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks within the fintech or financial services industry.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to financial integrity.
