JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategy, Programs, Projects and Initiatives
- Define, strategize and execute a departmental strategy aligned with the overall reputation strategy of the Thermal Business Group.
- Create a process to monitor, evaluate and manage effectiveness of the initiatives and projects that supports the achievement of the RSM strategic objectives.
- Manages governance framework for all pillars related to RSM (Stakeholder Management, External Relations, CSR, Branding and Corporate Communications) and ensures that the frameworks are continuously reviewed and updated regularly.
- Leads regional RSM strategies related to its area of operations, aligning to the overall objective of building a positive reputation for the Thermal Business Group.
- Regularly review department/regional reputational risks, and identify mitigation measures to reduce or if possible eliminate vulnerability.
- Provide support in the implementation of RSM related initiatives cascaded down by AP or AEV CSUs to ensure alignment of the organization.
- Stakeholder Management
- Defines the organization’s roadmap for stakeholder engagement maturity in order to support the Thermal business strategy and objectives.
- Formulate and implement capability development programs for the organization using training needs analysis in order to reach desired stakeholder maturity.
- Ensure presence of a robust stakeholder management knowledge database thru a stakeholder management system for the organization to document and record engagement activities and business wins achievement.
- Analyze stakeholder management data using data science and mapping to be utilized in strategic business development and target setting initiatives
- Coordinates with AP and AEV reputation teams thru steering committee meetings to aligning stakeholder management governance, programs and initiatives
- External Relations
- Initiates and sustains relationships with relevant LGU, agencies and institutions, associations, and other business leaders to compliment and facilitate the short and long-term business strategies of the Company.
- Works with functional and operational units to contribute to and advocate (at the local and regional level) proactive policy positions and execute corrective legislative and regulatory strategies.
- Establishes relations to build and lead coalitions with NGO’s, businesses and interest groups on issues of common concern.
- Guides and supports Thermal Business Group’s functional and operational units with the resolution of technical, organizational and political conflict through effective issues and stakeholder management.
- For assigned key stakeholders – Liaises with Thermal site operations and maintenance team and the community in managing situations when certain plant activities would cause discomfort or disturbance to the community.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders to garner an understanding of their needs, set expectations and ensure outcomes.
- Represents the company publicly at meetings, programs and project implementation events and other activities
- Regularly collaborates with AEV Gov Rel and other relevant internal support units and contribute to the development and implementation of governmental and public affairs strategies
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Professional: At least 4 years relevant experience
- Leadership: At least 2 years experience
- Project: At least 2 years experience in project management
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Social Sciences, Mass Communications, Public Administration and other related courses
