We are looking for a Payroll Tax Team Lead for a leading multinational company.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Leadership:
- Oversee payroll tax administration for U.S. Federal, State, and Expatriate taxes.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of all payroll tax obligations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary process updates.
- Team Management:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the Payroll Tax Team.
- Build a high-performing team through regular feedback and development plans.
- Allocate resources effectively and monitor performance against benchmarks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Influence decision-making for payroll projects and system enhancements.
- Support payroll tax compliance during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
- Process & System Oversight:
- Oversee migration and implementation of payroll tax processes.
- Ensure proper configuration and troubleshooting of payroll systems (Workday, SAP, Alteryx, AssignmentPro).
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Governance & Data Management:
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with retention policies and data privacy standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of U.S. payroll tax experience, including multi-state and expatriate taxation.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll systems (Workday, SAP, ADP) and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations.
