JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develops and implements company-wide safety manuals, procedures, and training programs to ensure consistent health, safety, and emergency preparedness across all sites.
- Ensures compliance with DOLE and other government regulations by serving as the company’s Safety Officer, leading inspections, audits, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
- Monitors and audits the workplace, equipment, and medical facilities to verify adherence to safety standards, operational readiness, and corrective action implementation.
- Prepares and submits comprehensive safety reports and performance metrics to management for tracking compliance and continuous improvement.
- Leads and develops the S.H.E team by providing coaching, performance evaluation, and capacity building to strengthen safety leadership and culture.
- Promotes environmental and security compliance through adherence to ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.) and implementation of the site’s emergency response and safety management systems.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Safety Engineering.
- Licensed DOLE Safety Officer (SO3/SO4) or Accredited Safety Practitioner/Consultant; BOSH certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in managing SHE or related functions, with proven capability in team leadership and compliance management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a power plant, heavy industry, or construction environment as a Safety Engineer.
- Proven background in regulatory compliance, safety audits, and financial budgeting within SHE operations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Bisaya and have experience from a full-time internal role.
