JOB DESCRIPTION
• Accountable and responsible for the review of general Ledger and sub-ledger accounts
• Conducts review and analysis of financial transactions and reports;
• Ensures accurate and appropriate recording of revenues, expenses, accruals, adjustments, etc;
• Approves general journal entries prior to posting;
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliation reports and ensures that relevant schedules and analysis are available monthly;
• Responsible for period-end close procedures: Inventory, Purchasing, Payables, Receivables, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Projects, and General Ledger;
• Reviews post month-end reports;
• Responds to queries from Regional Office and Business Control Team pertaining to General Ledger issues and proposed resolution as necessary;
• Reviews process documentation and flowcharts;
• Oversees monthly and quarterly SAP BPC reporting – IC reconciliation, Financial Package, and Treasury
• Responsible for maintaining adherence to accounting policies and internal control guidelines;
• Ensures that audit requirements during interim and year-end financial audit are being provided and managed timely;
• Reviews draft statutory reports;
• Evaluates current accounting processes and proposes improvements for operational efficiency;
• Liaises with Associate Manager for the overall management of the team;
• Performs staff reviews (GPS) and recommends training for learning and development;
• Performs salary review and overall HCM management of the team;
• Approves timesheet overtime and expense claims;
• Complies with company system;
• Recommends areas for standardization and process improvement
JOB QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s/College Degree, major in Accountancy, CPA is required;
• 7 to 9 years of relevant working experience in tax compliance, preparation and review of financial statements, accounts analysis, budget development, accounts payable, treasury and risk management, inventory, fixed assets, and audit;
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
• Exposure in Shared service or Multinational environment is an advantage;
• Experience with ERP Systems is preferred;
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Results oriented;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
• Proactive and a committed team player;
• Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines.
