JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the SSC’s overall strategy, direction, and operational excellence in line with corporate objectives.
- Oversee the design, planning, and execution of process transitions from global business units to the SSC.
- Build the SSC from the ground up or scale existing operations, including talent acquisition, systems, and infrastructure setup.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of finance functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies, audit standards, and tax regulations.
- Work closely with business units to align SSC functions with shipping operations, including documentation, billing, scheduling support, and customer service.
- Drive process standardization and automation across shipping-related workflows.
- Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics across all functions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the SSC and global/regional business units.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a shared services or global business services environment.
- Proven experience in setting up or scaling SSC operations in a start-up or transformation context.
- Strong background in finance operations and working knowledge of shipping/maritime logistics processes.
- Solid understanding of process migration methodologies and change management principles.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on operational efficiency and service excellence.
