JOB DESCRIPTION
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and laws.
- Coordinate and oversee the external audit process.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and explanations.
Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into business performance.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management as required.
Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow by monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts.
- Optimize cash management processes to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Oversee banking relationships and negotiate financing terms as necessary.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure the team is properly trained and motivated to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
