Corporate Communications Head

Our client is a PSE-listed company engaged in electric power generation for both renewable and non-renewable energy, electric power distribution and retail electricity business. They also ventured into water and infrastructure business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Corporate Communications Head you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that aligns with our corporate goals and values. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s public image, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications: Develop and implement a strategic corporate communications plan that effectively communicates the company’s mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers. Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage to enhance the company’s visibility.
  • Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts, ensuring a swift and effective response to any potential issues or emergencies that may impact the company’s reputation.
  • Internal Communications: Oversee internal communication initiatives to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Brand Management: Protect and enhance the company’s brand reputation by maintaining consistent messaging and visual identity across all communication channels.
  • Public Relations: Develop and execute public relations campaigns, including product launches, corporate events, and community engagement programs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with investors, customers, community organizations, and other external stakeholders to build positive relationships and address concerns.

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a background in the energy or power sector strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in media relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute complex communication plans.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and corporate social responsibility reporting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in utilizing communication tools, software, and platforms.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic industry environment.
