JOB DESCRIPTION

The 3D Design Manager plays a key role in the communication between the 3D Modeling team, the Design Director, and Falcon’s team in Orlando. They provide guidance all 3D Modelers under their area of responsibility. Their primary role is to develop, organize and communicate information between each group involved in a project.

The 3D Design manager will assist the 3D modelers in the design, development, and production of 3D models to communicate an accurate interpretation and ultimate realization, of the overall creative vision of the project.

They will typically utilize Maya, Rhino, and Sketchup but should possess the ability and desire to learn new design software packages. They will also manage revisions for complex projects, provide creative and architectural design production and leadership to the project team for multiple, complex projects with little to no supervision. This position requires excellent communications skills, and the candidate should be comfortable and confident.

Additionally, the 3D Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production deliverables within the given guidelines and time constraints.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- At least 4 years of experience in a 3D Design Management role at a professional studio is required.
Excellent communication skills to relay ideas, methodologies, and schedules, within the 3D Modeling Team, Design Director, and Falcon’s Orlando office - Degree in computer animation or architectural visualization is preferred.
- Proficiency in Maya and Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer.
- Proficiency in SketchUp and 3DS Max is a bonus.
- A keen eye for detail, composition, and visual narrative
- Ability to develop, design or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including creative and technical contributions
- Utilization of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
