Our client is an Operator of a chain of restaurants across the Philippines. The company’s portfolio includes international hospitality with casual dining brands and homegrown concepts, thereby enabling visitors with a warm, authentic, and unforgettable dining experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Lead and manage the bread and pastry production team, including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants.
  • Develop and oversee production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Create and execute recipes for a diverse range of bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, focusing on quality, flavor, and presentation.
  • Train and mentor staff in proper baking techniques, pastry arts, and food safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Always ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Monitor product quality and consistency, adjusting as needed to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as kitchen and front of the house staff to coordinate menu offerings and special orders

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in baking and pastry arts
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a pastry chef role, with at least 3 years in supervisory role
  • Creative, with attention to detail, with a passion or crafting visually stunning and delicious baked goods
  • Extensive knowledge of bread-making techniques, party arts, and dessert creation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team member s and management
