KSearch Asia Consulting, Inc. held its 2012 Business Plans Kick-Off Event last January 27 characterized by a high sense of optimism and confidence fuelled by its strong overall performance in 2011. The objective of the event is to rally everyone toward achieving the firm’s bold targets for 2012.
Anchoring the event was Mr. Roni Balbieran, economist, researcher and former instructor at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He gave the KSearch employees an economic briefing entitled “Economics 2012: End of the World”, linking the latter title to the Mayan Prophecy, but then, in the process, provided the likely scenarios to expect in 2012 and beyond. Mr. Balbieran rendered an edutainment approach to understanding economic concepts which was appreciated by the attendees, making use of his favorite “bathtub” theorem and highlighted, to a great extent, the interplay between inflation and unemployment.
KSearch, for its part, remains bullish about the Philippine economy in general and the business processing industry in particular, notwithstanding the ongoing pro-Democrat clamor to stop outsourcing out of the U.S. The KSearch leadership is especially confident that the Shared Services Center segment of the outsourcing industry -- where KSearch can claim some degree of supremacy in providing relevant talents -- will continue in its upsurge as one of the leading executive recruitment firms in the Philippines.
The Kick-Off Event saw the Practice Group Heads, as well as the Administration and Communications Heads, present their plans and targets for 2012. Also featured in the event were the special citations awarded to certain employees for their extraordinary feats during the year. True to the KSearch character, a wide array of sumptuous international cuisines provided the fitting climax to the Kick-Off Event.
