The 10th annual Business Orientation Program (BOP) of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) is ongoing this week (April 14 to 21) with selected 30 outstanding students from various Philippine universities participating.
The one-week BOP enables these well-qualified students to gain an understanding of key global business and economic issues through a tight schedule of site tours and in-depth discussions with and briefings from some of the country’s top American corporations. To harness the students’ analytical and problem-solving skills in the context of the real-life business environment, the participants are divided into teams to work on Harvard Business School case study. The team’s outputs are presented to a prestigious panel of judges who would decide on the best case study solution and presentation.
The BOP, easily one of AmCham’s most heralded events, is greatly supported in various forms by Amcham’s member companies. KSearch, an executive search firm, for its part, spearheaded by the CEO, Mr. Manny Guillermo, participates in providing resource to help conduct the meticulous pre-screening of the students nominated by their respective schools.
