KSearch Consultants Enhances Own Knowledge on Organization and Job Evaluation


KSearch consultants attended a full-afternoon seminar on Organization and Job Evaluation presided by Mr. Virgilio Dompor, a seasoned HR and Change Management Consultant, on September 6, 2012 at the office boardroom.  This learning activity was a core training requirement for some of KSearch’s executive search consultants, as well as being part of the company’s continuing Knowledge Enrichment Program (KEP) for the others who participated in the seminar.

 

Job evaluation focuses on the job and not on the individual, Mr. Dompor stressed.  He outlined and shared with the group relevant information about organization architecture, job analysis and classification framework, emphasizing that the design should be driven by the company’s value proposition and that a review of the organization strategy is critical to ensure that the architecture supports the organization’s strategic context.


He added that the best job design is the one that meets organizational requirements for high performance, offers a good fit with the employee’s individual skills and needs, and provides opportunities for job satisfaction. 


Mr. Dompor is the Managing Director of VR Consulting. He was previously a Senior Manager of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and SGV & Co.  He specializes in providing change management consulting services backed by his extensive experience in human resource management, business process reengineering, SAP/R3 implementation, productivity and total quality management, organization design and development, job design and manning level, technology assimilation, education and training, competency management, program and project management, and communication management. He has industry experience in retail, development and commercial banking, Oil and Gas, discrete manufacturing, shipping/ transportation, and Government.  He had provided consulting services in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Pakistan.
