The Horton International Group recently held its Annual Global Meeting, this time around in the United States from May 1 to 4, hosted by the US Partners. Intent on showcasing some of their country’s best historical legacies to the international partners who came from the other continents, the US Partners could not have done better than to hold the meeting in the American culture-rich Washington D.C. KSearch’s Vice President, Ms. Karmeli Kintanar, representing the Philippine firm in the annual global meeting, enjoyed the intimacy of the international partners and relished the many attractions of this iconic and majestic venue. The global meeting was held in Mumbai last year and the year previous in the Netherlands.
The highlight of this year’s global meeting is the group’s new consolidated approach towards new business opportunities, spurred by the hiring of its new Chief Executive, Ross Eades. The group welcomed during the meeting two new member firms, viz., from Bahrain and Poland. The new Bahrain firm is the first step in the group’s planned expansion across the Gulf Corporation Council, while the Poland office will serve to continue strengthening its European presence.
The meeting included the individual regional meetings among the European, the Americas and the Asia Pacific partners and newly initiated business development breakaway sessions. A special feature of the event was an interaction with guest speaker Ken Cook, a Senior Contract Consultant for Inc. Magazine and author of “How to Who”.
