Veron is ready to end the week. She is done with the submission of financial reports and with the preparation of invoices and payroll. These are just some of her many responsibilities at KSearch Asia Consulting, Inc. as Accounting and Administration Officer. She has been working with one of the leading executive head hunter firms in the Philippines for three years and has grown immensely from a professional perspective. Veron has been instrumental in implementing improvements in the accounting, billing processes, and office processes, among others.
During most Fridays, she would normally rush to go home so as to focus all of her waking hours the entire weekend with her one-year old daughter. Her husband is working overseas making it more essential to provide quality moments with their child. She fills the bill for being the complete and accomplished multi-tasker: being a mom and a company accountant. She takes both roles seriously and makes no compromises to doing a great job at both. “Not easy”, she says, “but quite manageable. Each boosts the other”, she adds.
“Working is a gift but it is not the only thing that matters in life,” Veron noted. As a working mom, she works on her priorities. She is now more focused at work and seizes opportunities to relax, advising others to “not stress out”.
"Being a working Mom can be daunting at first, but if one manages her priorities, it can all be worked out. I’m doing it and I’m happy. Right, I think that’s the secret: the never-ending process of managing priorities”, Veron proudly exclaims.
