It has been exactly five years last February 12 since I joined KSearch. I didn’t quite expect that I would get hired as it was my first time to undergo what I thought then was a long deliberation process. I could remember I was having fever brought about by a minor accident I sustained during those four consecutive days of a series of interviews: first with Mr. Dennis Bahia, a Senior Manager for KSearch’s subsidiary, the Business Growth Recruit, Inc., next with Ms. Vhik Palle, Sales and Marketing Practice Area Head, then with Ms. Ruby Barcelona, Consulting Director, and lastly with the big boss, Mr. Manny Guillermo, President and Managing Director. I recall that I could hardly converse at that moment due to my anxiousness plus the fact that I was sick, that’s why my voice was trembling. At the end, I believe it would be God’s plan for me to be part of this one of a kind organization.

I was terribly nervous at the outset and completely curious about everything -- like the nature of the business, the job function itself, what it takes to excel past surviving the rigors of an executive recruitment process in the Philippines. I was so worried then of not being able to generate interested potential candidates on mandates that would be assigned to me. I was also too shy to communicate with my peers at that juncture as I felt apprehensive and worried that I might not be able to grow like them as professionals and already achievers, given their notable contributions to the firm. The other source for my lack of confidence then was it was just Ms. Ruby and I in the team. Well, all those are behind me now. Modesty aside, I like to think that I have not only survived, but have succeeded every step of the way, no small thanks to the unrelenting support from the entire KSearch family. It would always be a great personal story how I got to be who I got to become. The dynamism that I have gained, my strong customer service orientation, and the exceptional professionalism that I know I should adhere to at all times – all these values KSearch has imbued on me for which I shall be forever thankful; not to mention the headhunting skills that I acquired which I believe is one of the most important competencies any one can ever have. Along with these are my highly developed abilities to work under pressure, cope with disappointments, and high frustration tolerance level. It would be hard to put a price to all these.

I like to reiterate how KSearch has transformed me -- not only professionally but my entire being. Now I amaze myself with my ability to create rapport and build relationships with clients and candidates – people whom I did not know before. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the unrelenting support from my practice group, the management, and everyone else in the firm. Every one wants for every one to succeed. What a family!

The last five years with KSearch has been a wonderful journey, fraught with challenges, to be sure, but so rewarding at each turn. I gain new learning every day. This, among others, makes me look forward to the next day and the next. I am happy, as I am proud, to be with the KSearch family! Thanks very much!
